A lasting covenant

A covenant was established in the early 192os when a parcel of land was purchased in the University District and dedicated to building a neighborhood church and providing a campus ministry to the University of Washington. Wesley Foundation started with three converted single-family residences to become one of the most dynamic campus ministries at the University of Washington. While these buildings have not survived to the present day, the covenant remains, and the Wesley Foundation seeks to continue its mission to university students and young adults with the construction of a new home.

History

Wesley Foundation has an 85 year history of working with the UW Community. We provid a setting where students can comfortably explore faith, identity, career, and relationship questions that will shape their future growth and exploration. We know that young people who have these opportunities in campus ministry become leaders in a variety of spiritual communities.

Fostering growth, creating community, and promoting service

The Wesley Foundation has become a home-away-from-home for many students and young adults as they pursue higher education. Our ministry provides a distinct opportunity to engage with young people at a unique time in their lives. They are able to explore a wide range of questions in an open and non-dogmatic environment.
